Norma Lisenko, MPH - The sky's the limit...
Welcome to my efolio...

This electronic portafolio was created to give you a glimpse of some of my personal and professional skills in the Public Health sector. The areas I'm passionate about are nutrition, physical activity, health and education.

I am currently working on creating a consulting business to assist organizations in assessing, developing, implementing and/or expanding innovative children's programs. My most recent project is in the area of children's nutrition. In May 2008, I received a grant from the Kaiser Permanente Community Benefit Program to develop and implement a nutrition education program for the Benicia Unified School District. A report will be due June 2009 and I will post it on this site. More to come...

My Public Health work has been focused on childhood lead poisoning prevention, nutrition among adults with autism and other developmental disabilities and the physical activity behavior among public health students. I also have extensive knowledge in grant writing, program assessment, program planning and program evaluation.

After my three years in the Masters in Public Health program at San Francisco State University, I was fortunate to work as the Community Engagement Coordinator with First 5 Solano  in Fairfield, California. One of my achievements was to conduct and create the Community Input Report: 2006 Strategic Plan Update. It consisted in conducting focus groups with local organizations as well as parents groups. To see the full report click on the link below.
